The Organizational Assessment Tool for Sustainability (OATS) was designed by Partners for a Sustainable Washington County Community (PSWCC) to provide organizations with a flexible framework to help guide planning and facilitate thoughtful decisions for managing sustainability in their organizations. OATS was developed as a voluntary model for tracking progress on internal operational sustainability for public and publicly regulated organizations, though it may work for other organization types. We hope you find it to be a useful tool in your sustainability toolbox, and we welcome your success stories via our Contact Us page.
Here are the basic terms of use and disclaimers for the tool:
All intellectual property rights in the content of OATS, its appearance, and all other content on this website are owned by PSWCC, unless otherwise indicated. The tool may be downloaded for use but may not be redistributed in an altered format or under another brand, or sold. Please refer new users to this website, www.pswcc.org, for a direct download of the document. Users retain ownership of data produced by use of OATS.
OATS is made available for use for educational purposes by appropriate entities in forming and measuring progress on sustainability policy and practice. It is offered for free use on an as-is basis. The tool is intended to provide general information only and, as such, should not be considered as a substitute for advice covering any specific situation. While PSWCC has endeavored to ensure the OATS materials are accurate, current and complete, they could include technical or typographical errors, or dated information.
PSWCC offer no warranties for OATS and is not responsible for the results generated. PSWCC will not be liable for any other loss or damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, loss of profit or loss of use, direct, indirect or incidental loss) arising out of your use of this tool, any information entered into the tool or contained within it, and whether such loss or damage arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. Similarly, PSWCC does not guarantee access to this website or this tool, and will not be liable for any delay in delivering the tool including but not limited to website service interrupts caused by acts of God, civil commotion, riots, malicious damage, floods, drought, fire, legislation, failure of internet service or telecommunications provider or other cause beyond our reasonable control.
No technical assistance will be provided by PSWCC, and we reserve the right to update OATS only as needed by PSWCC. PSWCC may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. The spreadsheets in this document are provided in a locked format. You are welcome to duplicate and edit the sheets if changes are needed for your purposes, but are prohibited from republishing any OATS spreadsheet that has been so modified. These terms of use are binding upon download of OATS, regardless of membership in PSWCC.
